What are the bridal pictures called when the bride is trashing her dress?
It originally was called “day after pictures”. Now the correct term is “trash the dress pictures”.
Edit: If a bride chooses to do that type of pictures, that is *her* perogative. It should not matter to anyone else other than her spouse, what she does with her dress. Even then, most men wouldn’t care. Most people who I have read about on various boards, who have actually done these, have said that there is no damage whatsoever done to the dress. It is not literally trashed and ripped, which many of the other posters here seem to think is the case. It is simply a photoshoot done in a more relaxed atmosphere. Truth be told, most women are really not that sentimental about keeping the dress because they are fully aware that their dress will not be the same style as their future daughters (since they chose not to wear their mother’s dress, which is perfectly acceptable), nor would it be that pretty anymore after necessary alterations were done to fit an entirely different body type, since very few women are built exactly the same way.
