What to wear to a bridal/bridesmaid fitting?
I’m a bridesmaid in my friend’s wedding, and she & I plus the rest of the bridesmaids have an appointment for Sunday. Are these things that you dress up for? I assume the clothes have to be able to easily come off because we’ll be changing, but do you need to wear something nice or professional? Like a day dress or a sweater & skirt?
If yes, any specific outfit ideas?
You don’t need to dress up or wear professional – think about what you would wear to hang out with your friends or go to the mall or whatever you do in your normal daily life, and that will be perfect. Jeans are absolutely fine, or if you’re the type of girl that prefers dresses, that’s fine too. The last time I went to try on bridesmaid dresses, I wore skinny jeans, flats, and a sweater.
The one thing I would suggest is wearing “good” underwear (since you might be sharing a fitting room with another friend) and a strapless bra if you have one, since a lot of bridesmaid dresses don’t have sleeves and you’ll get a better sense of how it looks if you don’t have bra straps poking out.
