Do you think a bride could wear a bridesmaid dress instead of the traditional gown?
We’re having a simple small do, ie; us & our 2 witness’. Mainly due to cost but also the fact that I am terribly shy & self concious and couldn’t face a full crowd gawping at me! I want to feel special but think a traditional gown would be OTT. Would a bridesmaid dress be suitable? Anyone done the same & regretted the decision? The wedding is now booked, I’ve got 4mths to find something!
Definetly you can wear any dress you find. I too dont want an OTT wedding, Im not the type for all the frills and attention. I do want a beach wedding, but either way, I will be wearing a non traditional dress. I have started googling just “white evening dresses”, looking at bridemades dresses available in alternate colors, and even looking at prom dresses too. I’ve found some dresses that would be suitable for me as low as $70!
