Yellow color around the cut on my arm with light purple marks?
Well it was really a scratch from my brother and its like less then and inch long. First it started to have like light purple lines under it. 2 days later , there is like light yellow around the purple mark and surrounding my cut. what is this? is this serious?
It sounds like blood that has coagulated under the skin. That’s perfectly normal (that same description is how I’d say my cat scratch wounds look almost all of the time), but if I were you I’d wash it with really good antiseptic and keep an eye on it. If it gets worse, or if you see that yellow start to grow and/or ooze from the wound, or if it gets more painful and sensitive, tell your parents to take you to a doctor as soon as possible, as it might be a more serious infection.
