Display Stands

No matter where your business is located, you’ll always be facing competition. This competition is particularly fierce wherever walk-in business is prevalent. In New York, companies pay people to stand on street corners and pass out leaflets promoting a particular business. In Chicago and Washington D.C., you see folding signs outside restaurants and bars promoting daily specials. While these are all potential techniques to attract more customers, they can become old quickly. Many companies see more success by using a novel approach: replacing these old tactics with newer banner stands.
Banner Stands Are Not Trade Show Stands
When most companies think of banner stands, they start thinking of trade show booths. Banners are nothing like exhibits. In fact, a typical banner is more like a sign. It is a piece of thick plastic or fabric that is printed with the promotional information of your choice. It is easy to set up and take down, and comes with a stand that makes it easy to change as your particular ad campaigns change. It is a small unit, and can be folded up for storage at the end of business hours. These signs may have the same kind of impact as trade show booths, and the design can be as intensive. Results may be similarly positive as well.
Using These Signs On The Street
The key to driving more traffic from the street and to your business is helping pedestrians find you. That means you need to grab their attention effectively, and show them why you’re unique and interesting immediately. One of the major problems that street signage tends to have is that it becomes obscured by crowds, making it near useless at the most crowded times of day. Using banner stands stops that problem. Simply choose a style tall enough to be seen over the head of the crowd, and design it for impact when the sidewalk is filled.
Although some boutiques may find that to be a simple task, restaurants or bars with daily menu changes may find it limiting. Some have attempted to find ways to change out their actual sign depending on the day. Although it is possible to have success, the cost of new material to advertise a different and new special can add up. However, if you have a cycle of specials rather than a constantly changing menu, it may be wise to order one exhibit for each different special and rotate them out. This would be infeasible with trade show stands, but the inexpensive price of smaller sign-style exhibits may make it feasible.
What’s The Cost?
Ultimately, it is up to you. With banner stands, like all types of trade show booths, design, size, and style all factor into the price. The price can be quite low, or it can be costly if a very specialized model is chosen. For a typical sign of this type, however, the price is less than $500. For even the smallest business, the cost is not hard to swallow, and most companies can provide a good product for even less than that.
