There are some beautiful new trends in wedding gown decorations for 2011. Designers have taken some old favorite accents (think pearls) and interpreted them in new ways, and they have also found fresh new ways to use out-of-style accents (sequins!). These are some of the top embellishments that you will see on the latest crop of 2011 wedding gowns.
Pearls are always popular for weddings, and they will be very much in vogue for 2011. The newest way to use pearls is as an all over embellishment, rather than as a delicate beading on lace. One fabulous style is a sheath wedding gown encrusted with pearls from top to bottom. The weight of the pearls gives a gorgeous weight and movement to the flowing sheath. Also look for pearls on illusion necklines and used to create wide jeweled belts on waistlines. The natural accessory to the pearl studded wedding dresses is pearl bridal jewelry. Striking bridal jewelry such as pearl chandelier earrings and wide bracelets are an ideal complement to the fresh new take on pearl embellishments.
The pearl embellishments will be featured on wedding gowns across the spectrum in 2011. They are just as fun on a short and sassy bridal mini-dresses as they are on more classic styles. The new style sequins are especially lovely when paired with sheer fabric like organza. You will find them decorating illusion necklines and tucked in among ruffles on skirts. Something else that sounds potentially awful, but is actually quite pretty is shimmer tulle. It may bring to mind cheap veils, but the new shimmer tulles which are being used for 2011 wedding gowns are in fact elegant and understated. There are some other wedding gown embellishments which ruled the runways at recent bridal collections. Another stand out for 2011 wedding gowns is all-over three-dimensional floral appliques. Whether done on a petite scale over the entire gown or extra large on just the skirt, floral accents are definitely in this year. Help on a Fantasy Themed Wedding?
I want my wedding to have a Fantasy theme, like castles, dragons, wizards etc…I also plan on trying to throw in a bit of world of warcratf stuff for my fiance, if I can.I dont want my wedding to be gaudy, and I would like a few suggestions on what other people would like to see, or would do. Im running out of ideas, and I can’t find much on the net or from books.
Ceremony to Reception Ideas would be great, the church is pretty plain, and the reception is at a conference room at a hotel.
Oh, and my color is cobalt blue. All the bridesmaids have different dresses, but all are kneelength, same color, and chucks. Groomsmen all black, with chucks.
