Macbook backlight wont work when waking up from sleep?
I replaced my super cracked LCD screen (without removing the entire screen. I just removed the bezel and everything and took it out). The screen works fine, but when the brightness is higher than about half, the light flickers.
And now, when it goes into sleep, whether it has been closed or not, it pretty much permanently shuts off the backlight. When I tipped the screen, I could still see the window I had open, but just barely (as there was no light) so I know the video works fine. Turning the macbook off and on again doesnt fix it, I have to unplug + remove the battery, then put the battery back in and turn it on, then it works just fine again.
Could I maybe have plugged something in wrong when replacing the screen (though I dont think I did. I followed instructions to the key.)
sounds like your blacklight is either shot or your cables are bad
