Appreciating the people in your life around the holidays and showing them you care and how much you appreciate them, preparing a Holiday Party for them is the way to go. These days with a variety of Holidays comes a wide variety of holiday parties. Thanksgiving dinner parties, Fourth of July barbeque parties and the nice cocktail party at Christmas. Holiday party planning is much the same as any other party. Inviting people and making sure there is enough food and drinks for everyone.
Think about the location and venue of the party, renting tables or chairs and buying some party supplies. At Christmas not only do you have to plan for the party but also the gift shopping, decorations and other Christmas preparation. If there is too much for one person to handle recruit a friend or two to help you out, or if you have a higher budget hire a party planner.
The theme is already chosen for you depending on what season and holiday it is. Now is the time for you to do some research, put the time and money in to the little things that will make your party unique. Change up the invitations, why not include a small gift at Christmas time and wrap your gift with the invitation on it? Then send it to your guests home, much appreciated and you save the time and hassle later giving gifts at the party.
We all look forward having a great time and everyone looks forward to these holiday parties, because that’s when we all can let go, forget the pressure and daily grind that we deal with. Being the host and having a successful party that everyone will remember years to come is very rewarding. Especially when people still remember the year by saying; “Remember that year, we were at so and so’s place”.

Should I get a gift or something for my holiday party date?
I asked this girl ive been hanging out with for about a month to my formal work holiday party this saturday. She said yes so we are going together. I thought about getting her something to show my appreciation, but not sure what. She does not like candies, not sure about flowers. Also, she is coming to my place first before we go. Should I give her something before or after the party?
Hmm… I think it would be nice to get her a gift, but I would not give it to her at the holiday party. If you get her flowers or something like that, where would she put them for the party?? Give her something when it is just the two of you.
Don’t get flowers or candy, they are very impersonal!! Think about what she likes, a movie, a book, a cd, etc… That always means so much more to us girls than supermarket flowers or a box of chocolates. And don’t spend too much money, you don’t want to scare her away!
Just give her a book (I love PostSecret books, art books, etc…) and just say you saw it and thought she would like it. I guarantee that she will!
