Sell wedding gown in Los Angeles???
I have a size 8, which is really a size 4, beautiful backless Ivory silk gown, with a floor length tight fitting sheer coat made of embroidery(hard to explain) but it was 8,000 in 2004. never worn. I would like to sell it for a very reasonable price….any ideas???

Do a search, or look in your phone book to see if there are any clothing consignment shops that have or specialize in wedding attire. I considered buying mine from one, but I’m short and stout (read “fat”) and I couldn’t find anything I liked in my size. If you’re not familiar with consignment, you bring them your old clothes, they price it and when it sells, they take a cut, and you get the rest. It doesn’t cost you anything if it doesn’t sell, but some places take as much as 50%, so ask what their policy is.
There were at least 3 shops in Minneapolis/St. Paul area where I lived when I got married, so I’m sure there are a dozen in LA. Shop around and take it to one that knows designers and quality. One of the shops I went to had a ton of dresses, but they were mostly all these satiny, huge 80s style dresses that I wouldn’t wear to a costume party.
