Washed brother’s leather wallet through wash How can I fix it?
The wallet is completely dry. I have a heavy object sitting on it so that it flattens a little. But is there anyway to fix it so that it’s less noticeable? I know that it will never be exactly the same again but is there anyway to make it better? This is a valuable item in my brother’s life. It was a gift to him from someone who is no longer with us and it is imperative that I get this fixed.
Leather gets stiff and brittle when it’s wet like that.
Get a good leather cleaner from a shoe repair shop.
Talk to the shoe repair person.
Maybe a GOOD shoe polish will work.
Make sure to buff it ALL off – edges, seams, corners, etc.
