is 14k gold over sterling silver ok in the shower?
I don’t even know what sterling silver is.. but i got my bf a 14k gold plated necklace and he wears it all the time and i wana know if something could happen like chipping and that crap.
With any medals that are coated with another medal, there is always a chance of chipping, but if it is completely coated with the gold, then it should be okay in the shower. If it starts to get dark and cloudy, simply clean it with some toothpaste, then polish. If the necklace does start to chip, I would stop wearing it in the shower so it does not worsen the problem.
