Can titanium rings can easily be resized?
Titanium rings are not made from molds and soldering. Instead, they are milled from pure blocks of titanium. Therefore, they are extremely durable and will maintain their size, color and design for a lifetime.
Most titanium ring artisans can resize rings to a larger size by refinishing the interior of the ring. Making a ring smaller is very tricky if not impossible. Get your ring size correct when ordering. Visit a neighborhood jeweler and get your right ring size.
Can titanium rings be cut off?
No question! Titanium rings, just like nearly any other metal can be cut off with everyday metal cutting tools. Cutting through a titanium ring is just as easy as cutting through any metal ring. A call to any local ER and will confirm they can cut off any ring with ease.
People shopping at conventional jewelry stores are often told a ring made of titanium can not be cut off. Jewelers tell shoppers this to panic them into the more high-priced gold rings. Most jewelers don’t have the skills and gear to work with titanium, so they know the only chance they have to sell you a ring is to discourage you from considering titanium rings.
So, if you are worried about the ability to cut off a ring in an emergency, don’t!
Like with any ring, removing a titanium ring from a slightly enlarged finger is best accomplished with the old stand-bye.
- Bathe finger in ice-cold water for five minutes to lower any enlargement. Your finger in fact swells during the daytime, so use cold water to get your finger to the smallest size feasible.
