The hand-wrapping creates tiny areas that are hard to polish. Rough handling of the delicate jewelry while polishing it could break it. By the way, to take care of your sterling silver jewelry, argentium or not, when mixed with pearls, either use a polishing cloth, or put a bit of toothpaste on a soft brush and polish only the silver. Swarovski and many other faux pearls, on the other hand, can take a good deal of abuse without becoming damaged.

Swarovski rhinestones vs. swarovski crystals?
I have been looking at wedding veils online and can`t figure out if there`s a difference between the swarovski crystals and the swarovski rhinestones. Is one bigger stones than the other or are they the same thing?
There is a big difference because the crystals are usually clear unless you found them with color and the rhinestones are usually similar to diamonds with more sparkle.
