Why does no one wear white tennis shoes in New York City?
I was planning a trip to New York city, and I’ve noticed from videos and pictures no men seem to be wearing white tennis shoes at all. Is it ok to wear them? Is there a specific reason why or is it just something odd I’ve noticed?
Well, it’s kind of odd that you realize something like that, but based on experience and accidental research, it’s just NYC street style, my friend. NYC is not only known for such a beautiful (and busy) city with lots of tourist attractions, but fashion as well.
I remember reading this one girl’s blog once. She lives in NYC and she claims that nearly the whole city (including herself) is so into high fashion that she’d wear her best outfit just to water the plants in her front yard. Seriously.
And not to trash-talk white tennis shoes, but they aren’t very stylish…Women in NYC would wear Christian Louboutin platform pumps even if it killed them. To make it worse, most people walk to work.
The fashion in NYC isn’t something stupid, it’s just the way things work there.
Fashion itself is pretty important–it’s something we live on–which may seem like a load of shit but it’s not.
