Info on a Goldette metal trinket box. Four leaf clover, with rhinestone in center. Goldette sig. inside.?
I need any info on this please. I will post a picture as soon as possible. I found it among my Grandmothers things and asked if I could keep it. It has spring hinges, gold brushed over metal pattern, and has delicate gold twisted rope around the clover leafs on the top on the tinket box. Goldette signature was inside just under the hines. I have searched everywhere, and I have only found jewelry by the Goldette company, not trinket boxes. Any info would be great, thanks.
You have an intresting little box there, I would say it’s from the early part of the 20th century, not knowing you or your grand mother,, Dont take it to a jewelry store, nor to the local antique shops as they will sometimes give you false info. just to get you to sell it to them.. Go to a very reputable auction house ,ask them to identify it ,as most will know it’s place of origin , and are happy to share the knowledge of it’s backround of who, what ,where, and when it was made, dont ask for an apparaisal unless you’re wanting to insure it as this may cost you.. They are generally free for the advice giving… you may find that , they were just as tickled to tell you about it, as you were to hear it..
