The name Casio is an anglicized version of Kashio, demonstrating that from the start that the company knew of the economic significance of international marketing. The Casio watches were not started by a watch or even a jewelry company. Actually, Casio was the first watch company to create the quartz crystal watches. The Casio watches have many unique functions such as calculator, the different time zones, the temperature, barometric pressure among others. Casio has been well known for the huge variety and innovation of their watches almost since the beginning of production. Casio watches are in large variety and have all the features and styles that someone might expect.
The origin of Tissot watches can be traced back to 1853 and they were established as a Swiss watch company. Tissot watches are from Switzerland and the first watch was founded by a father and son team in 1853, in their workshop. Tissot was the first company to implement a tactile touch technology, simply known as the T-Touch. Tissot Watch Company has sponsored several sporting events since 1974 when they sponsored a racing car in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, France. It has been involved in sporting activities such as Formula One motor racing, cycling, ice hockey, cricket and fencing.
